Manchester City created another notable goals landmark in the course of our vital 2-0 Premier League derby victory over Manchester United.

When Leroy Sane scored our second goal of the evening at Old Trafford, it took our overall tally of goals for the season in all competitions to 157, establishing a new all-time record for a top-flight English club.

That overtook the previous record tally of 156 which was established by Manuel Pellegrini’s City side back in our title-winning 2013/14 campaign.

And with three more league games remaining as well as the FA Cup final, City’s treble-chasing squad have several more opportunities to go on and establish a formidable new overall tally.
