Aymeric Laporte has been called up to France's squad for Les Bleus' upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The defender has been selected for September’s encounters against Albania and Andorra, following a string of impressive displays for City.

Laporte has represented his country at youth level but is yet to make his senior debut.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo have been named in Portugal’s squad for their qualifiers against Serbia and Lithuania.

The pair lifted the inaugural UEFA Nations League title with A Seleção das Quinas during the summer.

Raheem Sterling has also been called-up to England’s squad to face Bulgaria and Kosovo, while John Stones and Kyle Walker miss out.

Elsewhere, Ilkay Gundogan has been selected for Germany’s games against the Netherlands and Northern Ireland but Leroy Sane remains absent through injury.

Phil Foden has also been chosen to represent England Under-21s in the Young Lions’ Euro qualifying campaign. Aidy Boothroyd’s side travel to Turkey before hosting Kosovo.
