The Ukrainian played the full 90 minutes and extended his winning streak to 23 matches, which moves him level with the Spanish midfielder at the top of the rankings.
The City duo sit ahead of team-mates Ederson, Fernandinho and Kevin De Bruyne, all of whom recorded an 18-game winning run at the beginning of the 2017/18 season.
It’s a remarkable feat for Zinchenko, who has won every Premier League game he has played for City, which is also the best 100% record in the competition’s history.
Pep Guardiola’s side have reached countless milestones over the past two seasons and Zinchenko would continue that trend should he feature and City win against Tottenham Hotspur next Saturday.
