David Silva will make his 400th Manchester City appearance today after being named in the starting lineup for the game at Bournemouth.

It’s a remarkable achievement for the Spanish midfielder, whom many believe is the Club’s greatest ever player.

He is just the 14th player in City’s history to reach 400 games, the last of which was former captain Paul Power who went on to make 445 appearances in blue.

Since arriving in the summer of 2010, just days after becoming a World Cup winner, it’s been a glittering period of success for City.

Silva has been central to four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and two Community Shield victories.

His record of 83 Premier League assists and 745 chances created can’t be bettered by any other player since his arrival on these shores.

He amassed 125 caps for Spain before retiring from international football last year, winning one World Cup and two European Championships.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to send their congratulations to David on another notable milestone and thank him for his continued brilliance.
