The Brazilian stopper joined City in 2017 and has enjoyed significant success already.
His first year saw City win the Premier League with 100 points – a top-flight English record – before last season’s unprecedented Fourmidables campaign that saw us win every major domestic honour.
City’s approach was revolutionised by his arrival, with his ball-playing ability adding a new dimension to the team’s play and helping fully realise Guardiola’s vision.
He admits it’s a high-risk strategy but says he loves it.
“Since I arrived at Manchester City, it was very clear the way Pep Guardiola wanted me to play,” he said.
“I had to train a lot to adapt to our style of play.
“I’m very happy with our style of football.
“For a goalkeeper, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. But that is the life of a goalkeeper.
“For a football player, the best moment is the match day. You need to enjoy the games, so every game I play I try to enjoy as best as I can.
“I’m very happy at Manchester City, it is a club that accommodated me and my family very well, so we have a great affection towards the club.”

Meanwhile, Ederson has described Kevin De Bruyne as “extraordinary”.
The Belgian has been in imperious form in recent weeks, with his man-of-the-match displays against Arsenal and Leicester vital in securing maximum points from two tough games.
It’s seen a surge of praise for the midfielder, something Ederson says it’s justified.
“We are all aware of Kevin De Bruyne‘s quality,” he said.
“He is an extraordinary player. He finishes well with both feet, he is very good at crossing balls and he has amazing vision to give the key pass.
“He is a very important player for us, both in the creation and the finishing. He has been contributing a lot to the team this season and I hope he can keep the same level.
“To me, he is in the top three best midfielders in the world.
“He has been playing at a really high level not only this season, but also in the previous ones.
“I think it’s well deserved for him to be considered among the best three midfielders in the world at the moment”
