“It’s always difficult for all the teams,” he said at Monday’s pre-match press conference.
“What they do, they do perfectly.
“They play quick with Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood and after they arrive down the sides and make good crosses and have good finishing with the two strikers.
“They are so good in the second balls, with free-kicks and corners. We have to adapt to this style of play and impose our way.”
City will be aiming to get back to winning ways against Burnley, but will have to do so without Ilkay Gundogan, who is suspended after picking up five yellow cards this season.
Having dropped points against Newcastle United, we now trail table-toppers Liverpool by 11 points, though Guardiola has reiterated his opinion that his team must focus on themselves rather than Jurgen Klopp’s outfit.

“They have to believe,” he added.
“They have to believe we will win tomorrow. They can’t think too much about the people in front.
“We have to think about what to do to win the games. We have to try to be more solid with the chances we have and the chances we concede.”
