“Goodison Park is always so tough and in general I am so satisfied,” said Guardiola.
“During the last three months every three days it has been game, game, game.
“In three or four days we now have another one against Chelsea. I don’t know how far we will get but we will try to prepare game by game.
“We could have gone seven points behind a few days ago... now we are first.
“That is a good lesson to never give up.
“We have one more game than Liverpool and if they win we are not top.
“But being top is much better but Liverpool has to play this game.
“Now we have an incredible test next Sunday without much time to prepare, then the Champions League starts again. It’s non-stop.”
Guardiola also hailed the impact of Jesus who struck in the 97th minute to seal the three points after Everton had enjoyed the majority of both possession and territory in a tough second 45 minutes.
“Gabriel Jesus has scored nine goals in a short time and Sergio got three at the weekend, it is important to have two good strikers. I am so satisfied. – we have two incredible strikers,” Pep added.
