The number of shots City average per Premier League game is 17 – that’s one every five-and-a-half minutes – and of those shots, the Blues manage just under 7 on target per game.
City have scored 74 goals from 27 games and are comfortably the Premier League top scorers. It also means the champions score an average of 2.74 goal per game – an astonishing rate.
If that average were to be continued, City would end with 104 goals, just two shy of last season’s tally – but who bet against the free-scoring Blues topping last year’s record tally of 106?
Pep’s men remain European football’s top scorers with 120 in all competitions.
49 Home rule
The Blues have scored 49 goals at home this campaign but have some way to go to set a new record.
Chelsea’s 68 (2009/10) is the current record, so the champions need another 20 to set a new benchmark.
City have five matches still to play at the Etihad and will need to average four goals per game to achieve the feat – a tall order for any team – with remaining home games against West Ham, Watford, Cardiff City, Spurs and Leicester City to come.

So, but for the proverbial coat of paint, the Blues could have had 88 goals had those shots been a few millimetres more on target when hitting the crossbar or the post.
17 Red-hot Sergio
The number of goals Sergio Aguero has scored in the league so far this season.
Kun has shot up the charts in the race for the Golden Boot with successive hat-tricks taking him from 11 at the end of January to 17 in the space of just eight days.
He is now joint top with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in what should be a fascinating sprint to the finish line.
12 Shut-outs
In another fascinating City v Liverpool subplot, Brazilian keepers Alisson Becker and Ederson are fighting it out for this season’s Golden Glove award.
Currently, Alisson heads the clean sheets list with 14 from 26 games, while Ederson is hot on his heels with 12 from 27 games played.
9 Assist kings
Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling have both provided nine assists to date in league football – just one behind Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
2313 Pass master
The Premier League’s top passer to date is Aymeric Laporte with 2313.
This is a list the Blues often top, with Fernandinho and Nicolas Otamendi regularly among the front-runners, though this campaign Ferna currently sits in sixth with Kyle Walker in 11th spot.
63 Boxed off
City top the Premier League stats for goals scored in the box this season.
The Blues’ foxes in the box have plundered 63 goals to date, with Liverpool next in line with 55.
Perhaps, with 74 goals scored so far overall, it’s not surprising the champions are also close to the top of the goals scored outside the box with Aguero’s stunning 25-yarder against Chelsea taking our tally to 11 long-range efforts.
Spurs top the list with 12.
18865 Team game
The Blues have out-passed all Premier League teams so far this season with 18,865 so far.
That’s 859 passes more than our nearest rivals Chelsea who sit second on 18,006.
Liverpool sit third with 16,449 while Spurs have had more than 4,000 passes less than City so far this campaign.
