Sergio Aguero’s sensational opening goal in the 2-1 win over Liverpool has been nominated for January’s Premier League Goal of the Month award.
The Argentine took a touch with his right to control Bernardo Silva’s pass and take Dejan Lovren out of the game, before slamming home with his left past Allison from a right angle.
It was a remarkable goal on a memorable night at the Etihad.
He’s up against Andre Schurrle, Willian, Marcus Rashford, Diogo Jota, James Ward-Prowse and Callum Wilson for the prize.
