The Belgian playmaker bagged another 75 minutes under his belt against Burnley on Saturday, creating two goals and scoring one himself in a man-of-the-match display.
For City, chasing four different trophies, having a fully fit De Bruyne couldn’t be timed any better.

“To be fair, Saturday was the first time I felt really fresh and much sharper,” said KDB.
“The other games I played recently were alright, but I felt I had an extra gear for the first time this season.
“Obviously, I’m playing more and more and I starting to get into a rhythm so I’m really happy about that.
“I’m just trying to get as fresh as possible and if I’m honest, I didn’t expect to play as long as I did against Burnley, but I did and I came off feeling great, so I trust in the people around me as I haven’t had many injuries in my career and they obviously know a lot more about recovery and a workable schedule for me.”
De Bruyne admits he doesn’t know if he’ll start against Newcastle United on Tuesday evening, but is expecting a difficult game against Rafa Benitez’s side.
The trip to the north east will also give the Blues the chance to close the gap on leaders Liverpool to just one point - with a victory.
Liverpool take on Leicester City 24 hours later, so does De Bruyne believe this is a chance to turn up the pressure on the Reds?
“It will if we win, but it could act as incentive if we don’t!” he smiled.
“It’s going to be a tough game at Newcastle as it always is. There’s always a big crowd and we know how they are going to play, and we’ll try to do our best to leave with three points.”
With City in free-scoring mode and adding 30 to the season tally this month alone, De Bruyne admits he has been impressed with the way the goals have been flying in this campaign.
“In general, we’re scoring a lot of goals, not only this month,” he said.
“It’s incredible that we’ve got more than 100 goals already, but obviously there have been a few cup ties against lower league opposition, but it’s good for the team that a lot of people are getting their name on the score-sheet.”
