Teenager winger Ian Carlo Poveda makes his debut against Burton Albion this evening - and here's a brief bio of our latest Academy graduate.
Predominantly a left winger, Poveda is capable of playing on the right flank or through the middle.
After spells at Puerto Malagueno, FC Barcelona and Brentford, Poveda joined the Blues in the summer of 2016.
Nimble and fleet-footed, he has represented England Under-16 and Under-17s and made a fine start to life at the Club with three goals in his first two appearances.
He has since gone on to become an integral part of City’s UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup side as well as a regular EDS Premier League 2 team member.
He has made 23 EDS appearances in all competitions this season, scoring five goals.
Born in London to Colombian parents, he is a fortnight shy of his 19th birthday.
