The 20-year-old striker, who spent last season on loan at Preston North End where he played 44 times, scored a penalty in our 4-1 win over West Ham in Nanjing on Thursday, the first of four friendly games planned for the next fortnight.
And afterwards he said it was a privilege to be around world-class footballers on a day-to-day basis.
“It’s always very good and important to learn from the best and I’m really enjoying it,” he said. “We’ve a lot to learn and improve and we’re doing it as a team.
“It was really nice to score, but the most important thing now is getting fit and ready for what is coming next. I’m really enjoying it!
“We’ll rest, train again and go for it on Saturday [against Wolves].
“Being here is also allowing us to work closer as a group and practice our skills.”

The game against West Ham was a challenging one, with City falling behind and struggling to get a grip of the game in the first half against a very experienced side.
And with humidity levels going above 80 per cent, it was also a physically demanding evening.
Nmecha admits the conditions were not easy, particularly for our first match of pre-season, but believes everyone involved will feel the benefit as the new season edges closer.
“I found it quite difficult and challenging, especially the first 15 minutes as you need to adjust to it,” he said.
“It’s hard, sprinting was difficult. The pitches are a bit harder. We have to get used to it and it’s actually good for fitness, for all of us.”
