The Premier League champions played two matches during a week-long stay in China as part of the Premier League Asia Trophy, before heading to Hong Kong to continue our preseason tour.
The players also engaged in a number of open training sessions and supporter signing sessions, with the excitement from local fans clear throughout.
And speaking at a fan event at the flagship PUMA store in Shanghai, Bernardo said the welcome he and his teammates received makes him proud to play for City.
“Yeah, it makes you proud,” he said. “It makes us feel like we are doing good work.
“People like us. And to come here to China and get this support is just amazing, so we’re very happy to be here.”

Belgium midfielder De Bruyne, who impressed with a virtuoso 45-minute display in the game against Wolves on Saturday, agreed with Bernardo.
He says he enjoyed his stay our training base in Shanghai and was humbled by the fervour he witnessed.
“We went to the Old Town in Shanghai and it looked really nice,” he said.
“It’s a very busy city, so lots of traffic, but the people are very friendly.
“We have a lot of people following us, so that’s a good thing.
“It’s very nice to see that even on the other side of the world people are just crazy about you and it gives you a good feeling.”
“I LOVE YOU KEVIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNN!”
