Manchester City can officially confirm that Oleksandr Zinchenko will wear the No.11 shirt next season.

Revealed in conjunction with the Club’s new 2019/20 PUMA home and away kits, the Ukrainian switches from the No.35 to take the vacant jersey, which was last worn by Aleksandar Kolarov.

In taking the No.11, which historically has been associated with left-sided players, the PUMA-sponsored 22-year-old has ensured there is a certain symmetry with the previous owner.

Like Zinchenko, Kolarov’s technical proficiency ensured he was comfortable at both full-back and in a more advanced position.

There are similarities between the medals collected by the pair whilst at City too, with both players having won two Premier League titles, two League Cups, and the FA Cup.

Zinchenko also follows in the footsteps of the impressive left-wing duo, Dennis Tueart and Peter Barnes, as well as Paul Lake and Elano, all of whom wore the No.11 at some point in their City careers.

You can buy your ‘Zinchenko 11’ home and away shirts now at mancity.com and in the newly refurbished CityStore at the Etihad Stadium.
