Philippe Sandler will spend the 2019/20 season on loan with Anderlecht.
Former City skipper Vincent Kompany became player-manager at the Belgian club in May and Sandler will be able to continue learning from one of Europe’s best defenders on a daily basis.
The 22-year-old centre-half has played twice for City since joining from PEC Zwolle in 2018.
