Pep Guardiola says City will embark on a crucial week in the Club’s continuing quest for silverware.

Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup hopes will be a little clearer by the close of play next Saturday and the Blues’ boss believes it could be key for the remainder of the campaign.

“This week we have three different competitions,” said Pep.

“We have the Premier League where everything is so close with Liverpool. Hopefully our defence can help us. It is tough. It is incredibly important this week.

“Let’s do it and this week, from tomorrow is important. How you approach the situation is going to happen.

“I spoke with the players and they know how it is going to happen. Hopefully we will not go out in the Champions League.

“We need to be strong and accept the toughest moment in every situation. We try to do it in the strongest way and game by game. The players know that.”

Responding to a question of whether Liverpool and their boss Jurgen Klopp is feeling the pressure in the title race, Pep added: “I respect a lot Jurgen so I don’t know. I am not in his locker room so don’t know what he feels. I am only concerned with what I have to do.

“We have been incredible the last two months, especially the last two or three weeks and we would like to continue that way.

“I would also like to finish that way, but it is not easy.”
