Pep Guardiola says he will only think about the possibility of an unprecedented quadruple if Manchester City are still on course to win all four trophies at the end of April.

City’s superb season continued on Saturday with a comeback win at Swansea that saw us move through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

With the Blues 2-0 down at half-time and staring down the barrel of an unexpected exit, a second-half onslaught saw us win 3-2, with Sergio Aguero scoring a dramatic late winner.

And with the Carabao Cup already in the bag, a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League secured and a tight title race in progress, City’s chances of completing the quadruple are increasing.

But Guardiola says his side need to keep convincing him it can happen before he will make any predictions.

“Ask me at the end of April [about quadruple] and I will answer you,” Guardiola said.

“I want to congratulate the players and staff for being here at this stage. I am already satisfied.

“I know for the people it will be a big failure if we don’t win three or four titles, so I’m sorry!

“Now we are going to fight every game after the international break.”

Guardiola says he is delighted with his players’ attitude after the magnificent second-half fightback at the Liberty Stadium.

A somewhat sloppy performance in the first half had City on the ropes, with former Blue Bersant Celina pulling the strings for the home side.

But Guardiola says his side continued making chances and praised the spirit in the camp.

“We played a good game in general. We made some mistakes and conceded goals,” he said.

“We adjust something in the defensive way. Celina moved well between the lines and we defended better with two holding players.

“But we spoke in half time and said we need a goal and then hopefully the rest will be easier. The spirit didn’t drop.

“We started really well at the beginning but missed the last pass and last actions, that’s why we had problems. Swansea played good. But we started second half very good, found a goal and after we created a lot of chances.”
