As well as amassing a staggering 98 points – bringing our tally to a record-breaking 198 over the course of two seasons – City also came out on top of several other key statistical categories that underline our domestic dominance.
City recorded more home wins (18) and more away games (14) than any other side, with our total of 32 victories overall equalling the Premier League record set by City last season.
We became the first team to end a top-flight campaign with 14 consecutive victories, breaking Arsenal’s record of 13 in 2001-02.
Our tally of 95 goals was the highest number scored by any side, and we also managed more shots (683) than any other top-flight team.
The number of 26,576 completed passes was more than our nearest rival Chelsea, who completed 25,070.
And City also finished top in terms of average possession, with 68.1 percent over the course of the campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s squad also had the distinction of only conceding 238 shots – the lowest total in the division.
We did, however, finish 20th in terms of number of tackles made with just 518, which brought to mind Guardiola’s famous quote from back in December 2016: “I don’t train tackles”.
