Vincent Kompany's incredible match-winning goal for Manchester City against Leicester brought up another remarkable milestone for the season.

The skipper’s stunner was our 100th home goal in all competitions, the first time we’ve ever reached this tally, and surely the best of the lot!

With City struggling to break down a determined Leicester defensive unit - and an inspired Kasper Schmeichel in the visiting goal - centre-back Kompany produced a devastating shot into the top corner from 30 yards on 70 minutes to break the deadlock.

City are now a point ahead of Liverpool with one game to play in the Premier League thanks to the 1-0 Etihad win.

In a season of notable achievements, the Club had already set another remarkable record in scoring more than 157 goals in a season – the highest tally ever recorded in English top-flight history.

This result took our overall tally of goals this term to 159.

And with 57 goals, City have also scored the most times at home in the Premier League and have also gained the distinction of hitting the back of the net in every game league game at the Etihad this season.

Kompany’s goal was his first shot on target from outside the box since 2013 - it was worth the wait!
