Injury has robbed the City boss of a host players during the early part of this season, with Rodrigo and Oleksandr Zinchenko the latest to be sidelined, while Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane are still months away from a return.
Guardiola, however, says the Club will not look to enter the transfer market in response to what he describes as a ‘bad period’ for injuries.

“I don’t think we are going to buy in the January window,” he explained.
“The Club hasn’t introduced players they think can help us. Without that, it’s not going to happen.
“The players we need are not just for six months, it’s for a long time and I don’t think important players will be sold.
“I think we are going to stay the whole season with the players we have right now.”
Guardiola has been boosted by the return of Benjamin Mendy, who has featured in both of City’s previous two games after suffering a hamstring injury before the international break.
It was a minor issue, but one which curtailed his progress in his comeback from the knee injury which ruled him out for much of the previous campaign.
The boss was pleased to see the Frenchman play two games in three days earlier in the week and is confident he will start to show his best form once he gets time on the training pitch and an extended run of games under his belt.
“He played 90 minutes against Crystal Palace and 70-75 minutes in an incredibly demanding game against Atalanta and he is not injured,” added Guardiola.
“I think it is coming if he can play regularly. With games he can get to his best level. He’s not at the level we believe he can be, but that’s normal after two seasons out. He needs time.
“Hopefully he can be fit. If he’s fit, he can train every day, it’s going to happen.”
