As we celebrate our 125th anniversary this season, we are launching a new weekly series – ‘125 Years: City DNA’.

Featuring written interviews, mini documentaries, biographies and moments that have shaped our wonderful football club since it came into being in 1894.

We’ll talk to the people and places that have become intertwined with Manchester City throughout our history, plus the moments that have shaped our past.

With 125 different features, we’ll talk to celebrities, supporters and long-serving Club employees whose contribution has perhaps slipped underneath the radar.

We’ll look back at matches, signings and historic occasions to get into the very DNA of the Club.

Starting later today, we’ll begin with one of City’s most famous supporters, Helen Turner, who became an integral part of match days during the Blues’ residency at Maine Road.

For our younger fans, we’ll be taking you onto a journey into our colourful past, and for supporters who have been there, seen that and have the T-shirt to prove it, we’ll hopefully evoke one or two treasured memories from the recent and not-so-recent past.

It will be thrilling, exciting and at times, heart-breaking but as with anything connected with Manchester City FC, it will never be dull…
