The August Etihad Player of the Month vote is now open.

It proved to be a difficult month for our panel to choose just three candidates.

Ederson, Kyle Walker, Rodrigo and, of course, Kevin De Bruyne were all worthy of making the final three.

But it is Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and David Silva who will battle it out this month.

Sterling has been firing on all cylinders from day one this season, scoring in the Community Shield, then adding a hat-trick away to West Ham.

Raheem added further goals against Spurs and Bournemouth to make it six in total.

Aguero also has six goals. He scored against West Ham, then added a goal against Spurs, another couple away to Bournemouth and then a brace against Brighton.

David Silva might have announced this is his final season with City, but if anything, his performances levels have got even better!

With five assists and a couple of man of the match awards, he just edges out KDB - but he will no doubt have many more nominations in the months ahead.
