And Kevin De Bruyne, who also picked up the November award for his goal away to Newcastle, unleashed a similarly ferocious strike to open the scoring in our 3-0 win at Arsenal two weeks later.
The Belgian latched on to Gabriel Jesus’ cutback and, without breaking stride, expertly side-footed into the top corner… once Raheem Sterling had quickly ducked out of the way!
The City pair are up against Jack Grealish, Xherdan Shaqiri, Son Heung-Min, Michael Obafemi, Jordan Ayew and Aaron Mooy for the award.
