Though there are still 15 games remaining, the Catalan admits he cannot see Liverpool faltering in the months that remain.
But with three other trophies still to challenge for, he says his players’ reaction and determination to keep winning will shape his thinking for the 2020/21 campaign.
“We must improve in the games where we dropped points this season,” said Pep.

“We’re not far away. We have played similar to the previous two years, but there have been games where we dropped points this season, where we didn’t in previous seasons.
“I don’t think we need to change a lot in some areas, but adding new players is a possibility.
“Of course I will be watching the rest of his season closely, just as at the same time my bosses have to decide whether I should deserve to be here.
“With my eyes, I look at the players and who deserves to be here and what I need.
“I speak often with the Club but there’s more than four months and we will take a decision after this.
“Everything in football is related to performance - it’s the same for me and the players.”
Asked whether he felt Raheem Sterling’s early season form has dipped, Pep added: “He’s played more than 3000 minutes.
“Maybe he didn’t score recently, but I have no doubts at all. It’s normal - tomorrow he will score again.”
The boss also gave his opinion on Gabriel Jesus playing a wider role on occasion rather than as a central striker.
“He can play both,” he said.
“When the central area is reduced he sometimes plays there, but we can play Raheem, Mahrez, Bernardo there, too.
“He plays there to arrive in the box with a more lateral view and be able to move accordingly - he’s very good at that.”
