Yasser Hussein who is an attacking midfielder joined his first City training session on Thursday.
The twenty three year old has arrived on the recommendation of former Blues skipper, Ali Benarbia.
The mercurial midfielder who helped mastermind the Blues return to the top flight under Kevin Keegan contacted Stuart Pearce who has moved quickly to bring in the midfielder.
“Yasser Hussein is coming in on Thursday on the recommendation of Ali Benarbia,” explained the City chief.
“Ali was a player himself so hopefully he will know what he is like!
“Yasser is from Qatar where he has been playing his football. He is a wide sided midfielder who can play on either flank. He is a Bosman at present so he fits the criteria.”
