Manchester City have been bringing the smiles back to the faces of the Thai people whose lives were affected by last year's tsunami.

Thousands of people lost their lives in the Boxing Day disaster, and those left behind have begun the slow process of trying to put their devastated communities back together again.

Stephen Jordan and Danny Mills, along with manager Stuart Pearce, travelled to the resort of Phuket today and held a coaching clinic for local youngsters on the beach front.

The town has been particularly affected due to it’s reliance on the tourism industry, and although foreign tourists have started to return to the area, the local people face a long road back to normality.

The City party also visited a local school along with members of the Everton and Bolton squads who have also travelled to Thailand for the pre-season tournament.

The visit is in conjunction with the Premier League’s efforts to help with the tsunami relief and reconstruction campaign.
