Andrew Cole has flown out to Bangkok to join the City squad in anticipation of the completion of his transfer from Fulham.

The 33 year-old striker, who found the net 12 times in 29 league starts for the Cottagers last season, has passed a medical and is on his way to Thailand.

The former England international began his career as a trainee at Arsenal and in the ensuing fifteen years has become the second highest goalscorer in Premiership history.

City manager Stuart Pearce has been searching for a proven goalscorer to add to his strikeforce since the departure of Jon Macken in the close season.
