Shaun Wright-Phillips was ruled out of City's second pre-season friendly against Macclesfield.
The City wideman had to be taken home before the kick off at the Moss Rose ground.
He felt unwell and after an examination by the club doctor was taken home.
“Shaun complained of feeling unwell when he arrived at the ground,” explained club spokesman, Paul Tyrrell.
“He was examined by the club doctor and had to be taken home so missing the game.”
