Nedum Onuoha is pleased with his return to match action in Wednesday night's reserves game at Northwich Victoria.

The 19-year-old has been sidelined since early February with knee ligament damage and then a calf strain picked up on the first day of pre-season training.

“I feel good,” Nedum told mcfc.co.uk. “It was a nice way to get back playing again and in a good, new stadium as well. The pitch was in great condition, it was the perfect place to make a comeback and I just want to push on from here.”

Nedum was keen to see how he stood up to a match situation, and he eventually was substituted after an hour of the 3-0 win.

“I was going to see how long I could stay on and I was prepared to stay out there, however the trainers thought it better that I came off, but I had no problems.”
