New Manchester City midfielder Ousmane Dabo has given us his early thoughts on life with the Blues and is looking forward to the rest of the pre-season games.

City’s number five exclusively told mcfc.co.uk: “I am very happy to be here. We are working very well and very hard in training.”

And after a 45 minute debut against Wrexham last Wednesday, Dabo added: “I’ve played against Wrexham last week, and I want to play in all the rest of the pre-season games, because it gets better with the more games you’re involved in.”

Ousmane will also hope to be involved with the team on their trip to China as the Blues participate in the World Series Tournament in just over a week’s time.

“I’ve been to China about six years ago on a pre-season trip and it was very warm – so the conditions here at the moment mean it’s good training for our trip away”, said the 29-year-old.

The former Lazio man also revealed that things off the pitch are going well. He said: “Everything is ok. The other players are very understanding with me as I try to learn the language.”

“Sylvain has helped me with my English so far, because I don’t think I speak English very well, so he’s helped out when I don’t understand.”

The modest Mr Dabo and his team-mates fly out to Shanghai next week for the games against Shanghai Shenhua and Kashima Antlers.
