Blues boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has confirmed that he and the team will attend the event, and that he is looking forward to showing off the new-look City.
Sven says: “It’s going to be a great day for Manchester City, all the team as well as myself will be going to the party after the match. I had dinner in Chinatown this week with Dr Thaksin and all his friends, it was very good food and very good company!”
The party, which kicks off at 6.00pm, will feature a Frank Sinatra tribute singer, top Thai entertainer Mai Charoenpura, and World Champion boxer and devoted City fan Ricky Hatton.
Lots of delicious Thai food will be available for free and a licensed bar will also be open to all.
A limited number of shuttle buses will be on hand to take supporters from the stadium to Albert Square following the end of the match against Valencia. The buses will be available on Ashton New Road, outside the Stadium main gate (by the Visitor Centre) from 5pm. Buses will then return to the Stadium once the event has finished at around 9pm.
