Valencia will be the visitors for the annual Thomas Cook Trophy match as City conclude their pre-season fixture list against the highly-rated Spanish outfit.
The Blues’ final warm-up game takes place on Saturday, August 4th at the City of Manchester Stadium and will kick off at 3.00pm.
One of the most consistent sides in La Liga and in Europe over the last decade, “Los Che” (‘The Bats’) finished fourth in the league last season and were knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter final stage by Chelsea.
Counting Rafa Benitez and Claudio Ranieri among their former managers, Valencia’s squad boasts such talents as David Villa and Fernando Morientes amongst its numbers. Former Premier League players Edu and Asier del Horno also now play for the club that were runners-up in the Champions League in 2000 and 2001.
