With full attention set to return to the Barclays Premier League after tonight's Euro 2008 Qualifiers, Blues boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has already started looking ahead to Sunday's home game with Aston Villa.

City are unbeaten at home after their first two league games and are yet to concede a goal, but Aston Villa travel to the City of Manchester Stadium buoyed by their 2-0 victory over Chelsea last time out.

Sven believes the support both himself and the team have had has contributed to the fine start to the season.

He said of the City fans: “Let’s keep our feet on the ground and keep up your wonderful support. The atmosphere has been fantastic home and away, but I thought it was incredible against Manchester United.

“Hearing the whole ground singing Blue Moon while everyone was holding their scarves up was quite a sight and it can only lift the players.

“I’d like to re-create that kind of atmosphere for all our home games, so bring those scarves every week!”

With this Sunday the first chance to do that, a vocal sea of blue and white will provide the kind of atmosphere Sven and the players have already warmed to.

Tickets are still on sale for Sunday’s game and fans can either call 0870 062 1894 (option 1 - lines open until 11pm) or visit the Stadium Box Office, which is open every day this week from 9am until 5pm.
