Sven-Goran Eriksson has today faced the media at the City of Manchester Stadium ahead of Saturday’s game against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

And after keeping a fourth clean sheet of the season against Villa on Sunday, with surely the youngest ever Premier League back five, the main question of the day was whether there would be a place for the returning Richard Dunne.

With his usual ease the Manager assured: “With Richard Dunne, if the question is will he play or not on Saturday, he’s going to play on Saturday.

“I was absolutely delighted with the job they did [against Villa] and it’s good to have options.

“I think Corluka played well, I think Onuoha played well at right back, but Dunne is our captain and he’s available again so he will play.”

The Blues boss reported no injury worries ahead of the 5.15 kick-off on Saturday with the exception of long-term absentee Valeri Bojinov.
