Sven-Goran Eriksson admits he faces a selection problem in defence for the visit of Fulham this Saturday.

With Richard Dunne joining the list of injured defenders during last Sunday’s win over Portsmouth, the Manager has confirmed that Shaleum Logan has returned from his loan spell with Stockport County to bolster City’s depleted ranks.

Sven says, “We have some problems with defenders at the moment! We have Onuoha out, Richards out, Garrido out and probably our captain Richard Dunne as well.

“Having four defenders out is a big problem for us, and we only have seven defenders so we took Logan back because we needed the cover.”

Jihai Sun’s late withdrawal saw Elano fill in at right back against Pompey, with Dunne’s subsequent injury allowing Sam Williamson to make his first team debut. The Academy graduate is out of contract at the end of the season, but the Manager says he will take a view on his future very soon.

“We haven’t spoken about that yet, but we will do at the end of the season, maybe even next week.”
