Shaleum Logan has today been recalled by the Club from his current loan spell at Stockport County to help ease potential defensive injury problems ahead of the weekend's home game with Fulham.

Due to the rules of loan agreements, the 20-year-old couldn’t be brought back before 28 days of his latest spell at Edgeley Park, where Shaleum has helped County rise up to fifth in the table during his seven appearances for the club.

With Micah Richards, Nedum Onuoha and Javi Garrido all out of Saturday’s final home game, Richard Dunne’s hamstring injury is set to be tested in training today, so Logan could come straight into the first team squad.

And Sven-Goran Eriksson confirmed the versatile Logan’s return, saying: “He started back with us today and I spoke to him this morning and he’s happy to be back here. After the game on Sunday we had only three defenders and he is our player so we had to bring him back.”
