And the 21-year-old insists the Blues will be in it to win it at the City of Manchester Stadium come three o’clock tomorrow afternoon.
He told mcfc.co.uk: “Liverpool’s going to be a difficult game, as is each one in this league and obviously we’re going to try and win, but the main thing is to get a positive result.
“The game is a great chance for the lads to really show what we can do now.”
And with outsiders seeing Robinho joining the Club, other big money moves and the takeover by Sheikh Mansour, is Joe concerned that there are greater expectations on the side going in to the game against the unbeaten Merseyside Reds?
“It’s not a bad thing, but at the same time, money can’t buy results,” he calmly stated.
“I think that was proved at Wigan last weekend. People might have just imagined us winning there and had us down for a victory, but we don’t think like that, we take each game on its merits.”
And despite having to face the likes of Torres, Keane and Gerrard tomorrow, the England Under 21 expects his opposite number not to be as comfortable when coming up against the three ‘O’s’ - Robinho, Jo and Elano.
Hart said: “There’s plenty of players you can name from their side that’ll be a threat, but you can do that for us, I think Pepe Reina will be thinking the same as me in having to face quality attacking players.
“Pepe’s high up there with the keepers I admire and he’s at a club like Liverpool where he has little to do at times and makes some great saves. He does keep things very tight and keeps clean sheets.
“But it should be a free-flowing game and my main aim is to stop them going into my net.
“I’d be just as happy if I was completely unemployed and we won the game 1-0, but if the shots come my way, it’s my job to stop them.”
