The Welsh ace admits he has a great affection for previous boss Mark Hughes but is determined to get on with life under new manager Roberto Mancini
The Italian restored Bellamy to the starting line up at Wolves tonight and was rewarded with another all-action performance in the 3-0 win.
Afterwards Bellamy said he felt the margin of victory might have flattered the Blues and spoke of the desire to make this a footballing Christmas to remember for the right reasons.
“We didn’t start off particularly well and Wolves did and put us under a lot of pressure. But we gradually got into it and I thought on the break we were dangerous,” he reflected.
In the Premier League you have to work hard to get results and that is what we did. Credit to Wolves, perhaps 3-0 flattered us a little bit overall but we took our chances.

“When we looked at the fixtures over the Christmas period with the previous manager we planned for a possible nine points because this is a crucial part of the season whether you are trying to push into Europe or the Champions League or trying to avoid relegation. The Christmas period is a crunch period for everyone. With two games in three days any result can happen.
“We acquitted ourselves very well today and put ourselves in a good position hopefully for the remainder of the season.
“Nothing surprises you in this game; that is what makes it so great. I have a great affection for Mark Hughes but you have to carry on. I want to be a part of City for as long as I can.”
Skipper Kolo Toure who is now off the African Cup of Nations for what could be as long as a month was delighted to have signed off with a third straight win and second successive clean sheet.
“It was a really tough game but we know that if we defend well together we will always score goals,” he said.
“We are glad we have the three points. We have been working since the new manage came on a tactical game. We are doing well so far. This was a second clean sheet and I hope we keep going like that while I am away.”
