Manchester City’s three lions wore their international shirts with pride against Belarus last night but the appearance of Gareth Barry, Wayne Bridge and Shaun Wright-Phillips in the England starting line up was not a new phenomenon.

There have been other occasions when a trio of Blues have been harnessed in an England starting eleven to the benefit of their country.

We want you to tell us the last time City had a hat-trick of starters – and it has to be starters not substitutes – in a senior England game (friendly or competition), the opposition and the scorers.

One fan with the correct solution to our conundrum – drawn at random - will win a signed photo of Messrs Barry, Bridge and Wright-Phillips courtesy of mcfc.co.uk.

Please email your entries to mcfc@mcfc.co.uk before 9am Friday morning indicating three lions in the subject field.
