David Silva has scored a notable double by landing the Etihad Player of the Month Award for the second successive month.

City’s gifted attacking midfielder was the October winner by a landslide vote thanks to his tremendous solo goal against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

But he was pushed all the way for November’s accolade by centre-half  Vincent Kompany, whose command at the heart of defence helped limit Premier League opponents to two goals in five games unbeaten.

Silva, who helped set up Mario Balotelli’s first goal at West Brom then delivered a killer pass for his second, polled 28 per cent of the votes this time with Kompany in second place on 20 per cent and Carlos Tevez third with 13 per cent.

Lifelong Blue and Family Stand regular Paul Rothwell, a father of three who lives in Preston, is the lucky fan drawn out of the hat to present David with his award at Carrington on a date to be decided.
