The Blues skipper invited us into his house and shared an evening discussing football, family and life.
In separate interviews he speaks candidly about his relationship with Roberto Mancini, the spirit in the dressing room, the rumours about his desire to quit, his daughters and his ambitions for City.
This lunchtime we will show the first of a two-part citytv interview with the rest to follow on Tuesday when ManC will hit the shops with a full in-depth chat, complete with photos, at home with Carlos.
Don’t miss either of the fascinating interviews with the man who on Saturday made it 33 goals from 50 Barclays Premier League games since he swapped red for blue.
Here is just a small taster of what he had to say:
“I think it has been such a topsy-turvy season so far, with everyone beating everyone else. What we have to do is start believing that we are a big club, get our act together and concentrate, and be strong enough mentally to go five or six matches,” he said when asked about how high the Blues might finish.
“It’s a case of thinking about it properly and getting our mind-set right in order to get those half dozen wins in a row which will give us that belief that we can be champions.”
“I really like the desire the fans have to win something, and I sense it. It gives me a lot of strength.
“I know it is hard for people to go week-in, week-out, it can be expensive and it is not the main priority in life, but they make it their main priority. That motivates me and we all want to the same thing – to make history and win trophies at City.”
