Valeri Bojinov has joined Parma for an undisclosed fee after completing a permanent deal with the Serie A side.

The Bulgarian spent last season on loan with the Crociati, scoring eight goals in 25 league games and the move brings to an end a frustrating time in England for the 24 year-old.

Bojinov joined City in 2007 from Fiorentina, but his time in Manchester was plagued by injury and he managed just three starts in two years and scored his only goal for the Blues in the 2-1 defeat at Spurs in May 2009.

After suffering a knee ligament injury on his full debut against Manchester United in August 2007, Bojinov was ruled out for the rest of the season and his wretched luck struck again when he snapped his Achilles warming up for the 2008/09 curtain-raiser at Aston Villa.

Though he made a handful of appearances towards the end of that campaign, he was loaned out to Parma in July 2009 with his first team opportunities with City looking limited following the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez.

Everyone at Manchester City wishes Valeri better luck at his new club.
