Slovakian striker Robbie Mak, who celebrates his 20th birthday on Sunday, has signed for German side FC Nürnberg for an undisclosed fee.
The Bundesliga outfit retained their top-flight status following a play-off victory over FC Augsburg last month and have now begun rebuilding their team for next season.
Mak joined the Blues aged 13, but never broke into the senior squad and with several star names ahead of him in the pecking order for first-team football and more likely to arrive, the 19-year-old has taken the chance to move on.
Part of the 2008 FA Youth Cup-winning squad, he scored five goals in 20 appearances for the Elite Squad last season and ended his career on a high as part of the team who won the Manchester Senior Cup final.
Everyone at the club wishes Robbie well with his new club.
