Roque Santa Cruz’s goal at Fulham set a new record of Premier League goals scored on the road for City after Craig Bellamy’s second against Chelsea equalled the previous best of 23 set in 2004/05.

With 25 scored so far, Roberto Mancini’s side will be hoping to add several more to the tally before the end of the season as club records continue to tumble.

In 2006/07, City again won six times away, but drew one game less, but the latest triumph in West London means that the 16 matches away from the City of Manchester Stadium have so far yielded five wins, seven draws and just four losses.

With trips to Burnley, Arsenal and West Ham still to come, the Blues have already equalled their best-ever Premier League points haul of 22 and barring disaster, more points should be gained from the final three fixtures.

Though City won eight and drew four of the inaugural Premier League season, an extra two games were played due to the original 22-club format, but winning all three remaining matches on the road would beat even that milestone
