Mohammed Abu is enjoying life as a City player out on loan with new Norwegian Cup holders Stromsgodset.

The teenage Ghanaian midfielder, who signed for the Blues on transfer deadline day, has made an immediate impact in Norway despite being one of the youngest players in a competitive league.

Abu was on the bench on Sunday as Stromsgodset coach Ronny Deila kept faith with his cup line-up from earlier rounds to see through a 2-0 victory over Fallo FK, shock winners over champions Rosenborg in the semi-finals.

But the central midfielder with a powerful shot has figured in every league game and has made a real impression.

Norway’s winter break means Abu will be back at the club later this week before taking a well-earned break of his own. His loan lasts until next June, when Stromsgodset boss Deila seems certain to ask City for a repeat.
