David Silva has received his Etihad player of the month award for October and is already in the running to make it a double in November.

Spain’s World Cup winner, who took last month’s prize by a wide margin thanks to a string of impressive performances, including the wonderful individual goal at Blackpool, received his award from fan Lynn Robinson who brought daughter Gemma and partner Ernie to Carrington.

Every month Etihad offers the chance for a supporter to present the prize to the player chosen in the vote. Make sure you register now to be have the chance to meet and chat to your favourite.

November’s voting opens today and covers half a dozen matches including the derby and the fabulous away wins at West Bromwich Albion and Fulham.

Amongst the front runners are Silva who has again been consistent and the whole of the back four and goalkeeper who, in the wake of Europa League defeat in Poland, managed three successive clean sheets.

Not many of the squad played all six games but there were plenty of individual performances that could clinch the award.

Mario Balotelli scored twice at West Brom before being red carded and then turned in a decent effort on his return at Stoke.

Carlos Tevez claimed a brace at Fulham when the whole side performed with such gusto whilst Micah Richards backed up some good defensive work with a special goal at the Britannia.

Who wins? You decide. Voting will close on December 6 when we will announce the winner. Don’t delay. Don’t forget, if you vote for the winner, it could be you presenting the award. To cast your vote, click here.
