The Blues conceded injury time goals in three of last season’s four games against the Reds and City’s Argentine defender says the key is concentration, regardless of long there is left to play.
“Last season was a bad experience for us a team because we allowed United to score those last-minute goals,” he said. “I think we’ve learned from that and we know that against United, you have to concentrate until the referee blows for full-time.
“Just last weekend they beat Wolves with just a minute to go so we are well aware what can happen and that just because you reach the end of normal time, they can still hurt you.

“They are three points ahead of us and they will want to keep that gap at the very least, but the win at West Brom has given us all a big lift after the three defeats we suffered before that. Our confidence is good and we believe we can win.”
Zabaleta also claimed that Wayne Rooney’s absence doesn’t make tonight’s task any easier.
“Rooney is a great player, but they are still a formidable team without him. They have many dangerous players like Nani, Berbatov and Hernandez, but we need to focus on ourselves rather than worrying about them.
“We need to be solid in defence and in midfield and take our chances when they come. We want to win this for our fans and if they can get behind us from the first moment to the last, we will have a great chance of sending them home happy.”
