Carlos Tevez has fired himself into the running for the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for October - and now our Captain Fantastic needs your help to win!

City’s skipper is currently trailing rivals such as Arsenal’s Samir Nasri and Chelsea’s Michael Essien but voting doesn’t close until next Sunday, October 31, so here’s your chance to make Carlos leader of the pack.

Skipper Tevez’s double in the 3-2 victory at Bloomfield Road  over Blackpool - keeping up City’s pursuit of leaders Chelsea - meant the Argentina star has now scored 28 goals in his last 32 Premier League games.

Not for the first time the dynamic striker was the best Blues player on the pitch, and his goals stretched Tevez’s scoring run in the Premier League to four consecutive games before the defeat by Arsenal.

Team-mate Gareth Barry said: “He’s carried on from last season. He’s a world-class striker. Last season he got 29 goals and I’m sure he can do that again. If he does we’ll be right up there come the end of the season.”

City boss Roberto Mancini, who gave Tevez the armband in the summer, added: “Carlos is a fantastic player, he scored two fantastic goals and it was very important for the team.”
