Joe Hart and Yaya Toure’s superb displays in our FA Cup semi final win at Wembley have seen them nominated for the E.ON Player of the Round award.
The winner will be determined by the fans – to vote, go to the FA’s web site.
The keeper’s magnificent save to deny Dimitar Berbatov took the wind out of United’s sails in the first-half, while Yaya capped an all-action performance with the goal that sent Blues fans everywhere into the stratosphere.
The pair were nominated along with three others from the semi finals by a panel comprising of Hereford FA Cup giant-killer Ricky George, E.ON’s Executive Director Graham Bartlett, Radio 5Live presenter Mark Chapman, the Daily Star’s Sports Editor Howard Wheatcroft and TV personality Tim Lovejoy.
