FA Cup fever has been an English disease for almost 140 years.

The more success a team has the higher the temperature soars and here at City we are ready send the mercury through end of the thermometer.

On 16 April at Wembley Stadium we take on United in our first FA semi-final since 1981.

From tomorrow onwards we will begin our comprehensive and informative build up on the website and through our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

It will be unmissable content, a heady mixture of video interviews, historical text features, and one-off special articles.

There will also be ‘Today at Carrington’ photo specials from Carrington and the team’s FA Cup headquarters.

Whether you are CTID or a recent convert there will be something for you. Fans of all ages will be invited to gorge on facts, figures and stats galore and there will be entertainment aplenty too.

The players charged with making history in the next five weeks or so will be featured, the manager Roberto Mancini will give his view and past and present players and managers will be called upon for their take on events.

The one constant in all this will be the FA Cup sponsored by e-on and its rich past.

The series will kick off tomorrow with the history of the FA Cup and City’s association with the venerable trophy, the best known domestic silverware on planet football.

There will also be the start of a video countdown of City’s top 40 FA goals – some you will remember some may be long forgotten.

Our fans will have their say from now until they reach Wembley Way on all our club outlets and we hope you enjoy the 50 or so articles between now and then.
